About the company
Hidroxa Medical is a unique Swedish company that sells iontophoresis machines to clinics and private individuals, combating the condition of excessive sweating known as hyperhidrosis. Despite the fact that 3-5 % of the world's population suffers from this condition, there is very limited treatment for it.
The idea for Hidroxa Medical was born in 2015, and since its start in 2017 Hidroxa Medical is the only reseller of iontophoresis machines with a base in the Nordic region. Hidroxa put a lot of effort into raising awareness of hyperhidrosis and possible treatment methods.
They want to spread knowledge to the general public as well as healthcare professionals, in order to drastically improve the life quality of individuals suffering from the condition.
Since 2025 they are also selling their iontophoresis machine in UK.
The challenges
Like many other startups, Hidroxa found themselves struggling with finding the right technical solutions that will enable their e-commerce business to grow quickly and smoothly.
To become truly competitive and expand beyond the Scandinavian market, Hidroxa required an e-commerce platform that will meet their big vision.
As a young company on the market, they needed to find a partner with a deep understanding of tech in e-commerce, digital marketing and how to build a digital brand.
The solution
ZenDev recommended using Adobe Commerce (Magento2) and their technology called Progressive Web App (PWA). This gave Hidroxa's e-commerce significantly faster loading times, that resulted in rise in its Google rankings and increased conversion rate. By using PWA, they got an opportunity to interact with their clients through push notifications, which also suited Hidroxa's target group.
This was not the end of the story as ZenDev then also developed a digital healthcare service, which meant Hidroxa could start accepting patients online. This allowed a person to suddenly be able to offer hyperhidrosis consultations to the entire world.
Currently, ZenDev is also responsible for Hidroxa's marketing, that includes PPC campaigns on Facebook and Google, as well as management of Hidroxa's social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok).
Magento 2 gave us a solid ground to build and carry out a successful ecommerce store, which resulted in significantly increased revenue and traffic!

Zendev's proficiency in the e-commerce environment accompanied our goal to provide help and offer iontophoresis machines on a global scale.
